Snapper.Parts, owned and operated by Power Mower Sales Corp., is committed to providing quality products and customer service. From time to time, a product may experience a defect or fail to perform according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The information below explains how warranty-related requests are generally handled.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Products sold by Snapper.Parts may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty according to the warranty terms applicable to the specific product.

Manufacturer warranty coverage, duration, eligibility, exclusions, limitations, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer and may vary by product.

If you believe a product purchased from Snapper.Parts has a defect that may qualify for warranty coverage, please contact our Customer Service Department. We will assist you with information regarding the applicable warranty process and, when appropriate, provide instructions for submitting a warranty claim.

Depending on the product and the manufacturer's warranty requirements, we may request:

  • Your Snapper.Parts order number or other proof of purchase

  • Product part number

  • Equipment model number

  • Equipment serial number

  • Description of the problem

  • Photographs or other documentation

  • Additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate or process the request

Some warranty claims may require inspection, testing, diagnosis, or evaluation by the manufacturer or an authorized service center before warranty coverage can be approved.

WARRANTY RETURNS

Do not return a product for warranty consideration without first contacting Snapper.Parts Customer Service.

If a product is eligible to be returned as part of an applicable warranty process, we will provide the appropriate return instructions and, when required, a warranty return authorization number.

Receiving authorization to return a product does not guarantee that the product will qualify for warranty coverage.

Final warranty eligibility may depend on inspection or testing of the product and the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms.

Products returned without authorization may be refused.

INSTALLED OR USED PARTS

Parts that have been installed, used, operated, or otherwise placed into service generally cannot be handled as standard merchandise returns.

If you believe an installed or used part has a manufacturing defect, please contact Snapper.Parts Customer Service before removing, replacing, or returning the product whenever reasonably possible.

Depending on the product and applicable manufacturer's warranty requirements, the product may need to be inspected or evaluated before warranty coverage can be determined.

Installation of a product does not automatically establish that a product is defective or eligible for warranty coverage.

ENGINES AND ENGINE-POWERED PRODUCTS

Engines and other engine-powered products that have been filled with fuel or oil, installed, operated, or otherwise placed into service generally cannot be handled as standard merchandise returns.

If an engine or engine-powered product has been fueled, oiled, installed, or operated and you believe it has a defect, it may need to be inspected, diagnosed, or repaired by an authorized service center in accordance with the applicable manufacturer's warranty procedures.

Please contact Snapper.Parts Customer Service before attempting to return an engine or engine-powered product.

When applicable, we can assist you in determining the appropriate next step.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Warranty coverage is subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions.

Depending on those terms, certain conditions may not qualify for warranty coverage, including damage or failure resulting from:

  • Improper installation

  • Incorrect application

  • Misuse or abuse

  • Improper maintenance

  • Unauthorized modification

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Contamination

  • Accident or external damage

  • Use of an incorrect product or part

  • Other conditions excluded under the applicable manufacturer's warranty

Snapper.Parts and Power Mower Sales Corp. do not independently determine, create, modify, or extend a manufacturer's warranty beyond the warranty provided by the applicable manufacturer unless expressly stated in writing.

Final warranty determinations may be made by the manufacturer or its authorized warranty or service network.

LABOR AND RELATED COSTS

Unless specifically covered under the applicable manufacturer's warranty, Snapper.Parts and Power Mower Sales Corp. are not responsible for labor charges, diagnostic charges, equipment downtime, transportation costs, equipment rental, lost income, installation costs, removal costs, or other expenses associated with diagnosing, removing, installing, repairing, or replacing a product.

Coverage of these expenses, if any, is determined by the applicable manufacturer's warranty.

RETURNS VS. WARRANTY CLAIMS

A manufacturer's warranty claim is different from a standard merchandise return.

New, unused, uninstalled, and otherwise eligible products may qualify for return under our separate Return & Refund Policy.

Products that have been installed, fueled, oiled, operated, or otherwise placed into service may instead be subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty procedures.

Please contact us if you are unsure whether your situation should be handled as a standard return or a warranty claim.

PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY

Customers are responsible for confirming that the product ordered is appropriate for their equipment before installation.

Outdoor power equipment may use different parts depending on the equipment's model, serial number, production date, engine configuration, or other specifications.

A product's appearance alone should not be used to determine compatibility.

We strongly recommend verifying the equipment model number, serial number, and applicable OEM part number before ordering or installing a product.

If you need assistance identifying a part, please contact Snapper.Parts before placing your order.

Ordering or installing an incorrect product does not constitute a product defect and generally does not create a manufacturer warranty claim.

WARRANTY REPLACEMENTS

When a manufacturer or applicable warranty administrator approves replacement of a defective product, the replacement product may be the same product, a manufacturer-approved superseding part number, or another replacement authorized under the applicable warranty.

Replacement availability is subject to manufacturer and supplier inventory.

Issuance of a replacement does not modify or extend the applicable manufacturer's warranty unless expressly provided by the manufacturer.

SHIPPING COSTS FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS

Responsibility for shipping costs associated with a warranty claim depends on the circumstances of the claim and the applicable manufacturer's warranty procedures.

Customers should not ship products to Snapper.Parts, Power Mower Sales Corp., a manufacturer, distributor, or service center without first receiving appropriate instructions.

Unauthorized shipments may be refused and may not qualify for reimbursement of shipping expenses.
